Fitting
Alterations, steaming and maintenance are important components to making you and your bridal party look beautiful on your special day. Once your gown has arrived, Exquisite Brides will custom fit the dress to ensure a perfect, flawless fit. We can also ensure that your bridesmaids gowns fit as well as your gown fits you. Custom fittings take time and care, so please take note of the time frames involved:
Bridal fittings: 4 to 8 weeks
Bridesmaids fittings: 4 to 6 weeks
Flower Girl fittings: 3 to 4 weeks.
Mothers Fittings: 4 to 6 weeks.
Please note that balances must be paid in full before alteration work can begin. Rush orders on custom fittings are possible, please contact Exquisite Brides for more information. Exquisite Brides does not alter outside merchandise.
Steaming
Your gown will be lightly steamed upon arrival to remove wrinkles sustained during shipping. It will be thoroughly steamed after all alterations have been completed and prior to pickup for that extra measure of perfection. If you are planning a destination wedding, your gown will need to be steamed again or touched up upon arriving at your location. We suggest that you call ahead to find a professional dry-cleaners that has experience with bridal gowns. Your resort wedding coordinator should be able to help find a reputable person at their facility or in the area.
